Default Clamshell bucket

Reading the post about the barge mounted clamshell (http://rctruckandconstruction.com/showthread.php?t=992) I got inspired and found the clamshell bucket I built for my Manitowoc.
It is based on a 6 yard model and is in scale 1/25. It is more than 25 years ago when i built it.

That is very nice work! Is it soldered together? Aluminum solder? I used to have a old brass patent or salesman sample of a clamshell but sold it to a collector for big $$.

It is mild steel soldered together, the sheaves are AL.
Was a great project to do in between.
When I once have time I am going to make an orange peel clamshell bucket.

Here are some pictures. The clamshell bucket was for the 4600, but I sold that one many years ago.

Very nice work on the clam, It's awesome! One of these years I need to make a heavier metal dragline bucket for my Doepke crane.
