Hi Guys, can someone tell me why Tamiya omitted springs in the dampers of this truck? Becomes more cosmetic, rather then functional.
Thanks. |

Bacause they are cheap. There is an upgrade to oil dampers. They play the hop-up game with all their models, so that you buy it "cheap" and than spend fortune je on part to make it as it should come from factory.

Jack this isn't new. They've been doing it for a while. I'm not sure when they switched but when I got back into the semi's a couple of years ago with the Cascadia it had the O-rings vs. the spring. Really I don't see it being an issue they both pretty much do the same thing and are suppose to slow the dampening of the leaf spring. If it was a cost thing though they would do it to all their kits not just the new ones as they are released.

I bought a package of pens at the $1 store and added springs into the shocks.
