Hi I purchased the pump sold by rc4wd, they apparently use them in the excavator sold by them, my problem is the output shaft on these pumps sticks out 3/16", I know some of you use these, how do you overcome the short length of output shaft? I am going to use belt pulley reduction. I tried turning a small extension, but with so little to hook to it is hard to keep any wobble out of it.
Thanks Terry |

Not sure what the stock output shaft looks like in the pump, but If you have a lathe at your disposal, take the pump apart and see if you could turn a new output shaft all together?

Im am thinking that you could make the pump mount so that it also supports a bearing block on the opposite side of your belt pulley..you will need some support there anyways as there will be some force pulling on your shaft

Thanks for your replies, both good advice, I have decided to mount the pump direct to the motor and control with the esc.
