Hey Guys, If you have a Huina 580 and wanted to make a very affordable bucket for grading then do I have the solution for you!!!
first buy an Bruder grading bucket Its about $9 https://store.bruderservice.com/42456.html I then traced the shape of the Huina bucket where the pins attached and copied it to some simple L shaped aluminum. you can get it at your local home depot or hardware store. ![]() Then all you need is to cut the shape of the attaching points with a bandsaw or a dremel. ![]() last step is to widen the gap at the top of the bucket to fit the new L bracket you just made and then make a couple holes on the bottom piece to screw into the bucket. pretty simple but just make sure you measure your gap between the bucket top portion so it is not to wide or narrow. use your Huina bucket as a guide. ![]() Then all you need is a little spray paint. I went with some dark grey primer and some automotive aluminum spray to give that used look. ![]() thanks and if you have any questions let me know I can help. ![]() if you want to see it in action head over to my youtube channel and see it work. grading bucket works really well when doing basement foundations. seems that this bucket works well with sand so I will have to test it on harder dirt to see if the plastic holds up.

I bought the quick release off amazon and let me tell you I am pretty happy with this add on. works really well with my grading bucket but the main bucket is a little tight so I have to adjust the gap where it attaches so it is smoother. you can see it in my latest YouTube video.
if you are looking to pick it up you can find it here https://amzn.to/2znZFzp link to Youtube video https://youtu.be/WtKo8tTLSZw ![]() |

The tip for the Huina bucket is genius! Thanks for sharing. I just bought a converted Huina that will be a great asset to RCland & the PNWSTE club's RC sand & gravel processing operation. I was thinking of fabricating from scratch a bucket for it. I think your idea will save me much time!

The same QC is listed on Ebay. Are the motor and gears really left open like that?

Hmm. Perhaps it is not exactly the same - there is a red one that is very similar, but there is no “bottom” cap covering the gears. The one you have looks almost identical, but with the bottom plate and a yellow coat of paint. I answered my own question above by taking a close look at your videos.

actually this one on my machine was through banggood. I thought I bought it from Amazon. they are essentially the same exempt for the cable coming out. I had to modify mine.
