Now that is cool. Don't see many buses for some reason. Great detail your putting into it. Were you able to find some specifications or working from photos? Will be following closely.

Only pictures and a few 3-view drawings...a little bit of math, ratio and proportion. i like the challenge, trial and error once in a while... will keep you posted...

Yes, thank god for the internet today. Makes research much easier. I spent months googling, binging and duckduckgoing searching for info on my Mack B model. Found an old factory data sheet that listed basic dimensions of truck and after that was mostly scaling from photos. Fortunately a lot of parts like lights and suspension components are still manufactured and used today and you can often find dimensions on manufacturer's or resellers web sites.

That is awesome, well, for this build, i found a FB group that are big fans of this bus and some still owns a few of these either as RV or restoration projects... they have lots of pictures so yeah, so much better that we have internet now haha.... anyway, good luck on your build...

Wow, those interior pieces are already looking amazing! Awesome job on the design work, definately keeping your robot busy this winter

Very cool project idea, have you decided what livery you're going to paint it?

Great to see somebody tackle a bus project, they're really rare. I can't wait to see where this project goes!

The 1970's paint scheme looked pretty cool.

Iconic exterior styling for sure. The detailed interior of your model is a great feature and nice to see included.

it was quite hard to figure out the position of the toilet room but it is in, im still going to have to design the toilet seat and the lavatory and maybe a few cabinets inside that room... it will also have overhead racks for luggage just like the real ones lol...

Nearly four feet long? That's a beast!!! I thought a city bus i'm gathering parts for was fairly big at 28 inches long. You're going to have room to hide ALL the scale toys in that rig...

Which 1/10 axles is this going to ride on?
I like that you've gone into production enough with this, that there's just a bucket of seats sitting on the bench.

That Red, White & Blue looks killer!

Yeah i measured again coz i thought i was just seeing things, indeed it was 48 inches long haha... anyway, i still use the HG P-401 rear axle (x2) for this build as the front is unpowered...

i have done pretty much all the seats, 19 benches w/ 2 seats and 1 long bench at the rear... so far i have used about 5 spools of PLA filament lol... right now im building the side walls, my plan is to have the walls and roof connected except the front section so i can just lower it in place.

Looking good. Is there going to be anything to cover up all those screw heads?

That's really shaping up beautifully!

I think this is a facinating build. I wasn't around when those bus were in service, only really seen them used in movies to deliver someone to a rural place. You inspired me to learn some more about these, and thought this goes into some good details
