I'm just starting a build and am new to this. I see the Knight Hauler comes with screws to connect chassis cross members. I've seen some trucks using a hex bolt instead of the screws which to me gives much more detail.. Can someone tell me what size these chassis bolts are and the lengths needed?

I ordered some from RC4WD, and the sizes I got were 3X12mm, and 3X8mm. Hope this helps.

Also check out mc MasterCarr. They have metric hex bolts, lock nuts etc...
I bought m3 and m4 bolts last week in a few different lengths...box of 100 is around 5-7 dollars... |

Thanks. I like the look of the aluminum but which would you recommend, the aluminum or stainless steel? Do the screws used on the Tamiya trucks use the 0.5mm Pitch?

I would go with stainless steel. It's far more durable, and should you start bolting aluminum parts to the chassis, with aluminum screws, you could run into problems with the threads galling. Not with stainless screws.
