Thumbs down on the Airtronics.
I like Spektrum gear, a DX9 would do everything you need it to. But it's one of the more expensive systems out there, although you get what you pay for. The programming is super easy. ![]()

You could also take a look at the Frsky Taranis 16ch, got this in my Scania T580 and MB Actros.
Have a reciever in both trucks, and change between trucks with a switch on the radio. Would be nice in a dumptruck and excavator setup ![]() 260$ for transmitter with 2 receivers http://www.rangevideo.com/index.php/...-usa-110v.html Last edited by torarne81; 02-11-2014 at 01:49 AM. Reason: Price |

Alright guys, I have had previous recommends and am still considering all input I have recieved. My local shop that was kind enough to order my KH at a very reasonable price is recommending alot of hop ups for my KH and that he thinks that FUTABA would be the best single radio for all of my RC needs.....FEEDBACK?????

Well, everybody has their own preferences...
![]() Something to consider though, if your LHS gurus have extensive knowledge of the Futaba systems, then you'll get in-person help with programming them to their fullest potential vs trying to decipher vague info from the net. ;D My primary radio before Spektrum was Futaba, but when (2010) I switched from FM to 2.4GHz, Futaba was behind with their tech & considerably more expensive with what little they did offer, which is why I quit using them.

LIL, I think the DX9 is ofcourse my prefered. It would be nice if I could have a fast and ready assistant in the hobby shop to help me out.....BUT... I seem to have a ton of Knowledge here at my fingertips when and whereever I may need help in you guys. So for me right now I think the DX9 remains on top.

I'm seriously considering a Taranis. They are much more flexible than standard transmitters, because they are truly programmable. Google "Taranis programming" and look for C9x (Companion 9x). There's a great 10 minute video on how to do some simple programming.

That was also my reason why I bought the taranis, have a futaba 12FG which I use on planes. But its not that easy to change between units with the futaba.
Going to make a new case for it, like the robbe futaba fx series, with the possibility to change the gimbals when i need to. Got a pair of these. ![]() |

I've had my Taranis since Nov last year and love it!
Taranis thread Previously I used Futaba and then Spektrum but the Taranis is by far the best radio I have ever had. |
