Can't seem to get the rivets to remain primer covered when finish sanding to prep for paint. I am getting the occassional rivet that I accidentally rake off the primer.... Am being very careful with my paint prep and am using all the techniques I used to know while in the business as a kid...lol. I will hope to get one final coat of primer on with very minimal sanding I guess.... knocking off the primer after six coats with a 1000 wet sand is really ticking me off. Am hoping for 4-6 coats of paint and 3-5 coats of clear after.......Hopefully it will turn out ok....

You don't have to worry about knocking the primer off the rivets just do avery light coat of primer just before you put the color coat on just a dusting over the rivets. Ed
