Would like some help on building a trailer.i want to build a peerless or innovative open top chip trailers and need to know how to figure length and height.any help would be appreciated.

It will all depend on what scale you are building on. Let say you want a 40 foot trailer and your scale is 14.5 you take the 40 feet and times it times 12 and this convert it to inches witch would be 480 inches. Then you divide it by your scale that is 14.5 and you get 33.10 inches and that is how long your trailer would be. This is how you figure the dimensions. The figures that I used are just for demonstration you will have to get the dimensions of the trailer you want to build. Ed

do you use 13'6 in then do conversion.thanks for info

take all your ft. dimensions convert to in. (12" in 1' ) then divide each dimension by your scale whether it be width , length , hight and diameter

THANKS GUYS.DID NOT KNOW IF YOU MEASURED THE ACTUAL BOX OR FROM GROUND TO TOP OF TRAILER?GUESS IY WILL WORK EITHER WAY.THANKS ALOT .I WILL POST BUILD PICS WHEN MY DUMAS LEARNS HOW
