How do you have the steering set up on the radio? Truck on one stick, trailer on another? Can you set that channel up on an exponential curve? It looks like it's got way to much initial steering input. Anyway it looks really cool!

Have you tried it on the sticks? I can see steering some thing like that with a knob would be difficult no matter what.

I want to try it tied into the tractor steering

I thought of that too but when the tractor turns a corner the trailer can't turn until it gets to the corner and with a long beam the tractor will be around the corner and straight in most cases before the trailer gets there. Even if you could program some sort of delay in the radio for the trailer steering it would change for ever different length load you haul.

That's a ridiculously long trailer, I love it! I'm pretty sure I saw the video on YouTube yesterday. Looks like a geometric nightmare trying traverse corners.

It fits perfectly on the step. Very cool , it looks just like its full-sized counterpart!

Can we get a little more details on the trailer-truck on the rig with the 2x4, or a few more pictures? (Needs an I-beam or a windmill blade)
You might be able to run an adjustable servo delay like they run for sequencing like gear retract doors, and it still wouldn't work well due to speed. But life would probably be easiest to go more realistic and just run a seperate radio and have someone else on the tiller vehicle if you could borrow them. |

So Mark, now that you have playing around with motor, transmissions and GRUs, what is your favorite setup?

Stock motor and pmd 4:1 pulled rw's haul truck and d11
The 55t and the Rc4wd works good too. Stock motor and the spi blew up at brookville. Couldn't Handle the weight. |

Interesting, I just noticed your Carson trailer does not have the slight beaver tail just ahead of the ramp. Did Carson make a change in design or did you cut yours off?

I believe Mark's drop deck trailer is made by Ric.

That is the Carson trailer that Ric sells. If you look at this photo along with the one I posted above they both have the beavertail. It doesn't really matter, I was just curious as to if He cut His off or what happened. |

Oh my bad your right I just noticed the beaver tail at the end. Probably makes for easier loading without.
