I use Shell Tellus SV 22, Bought 5 Gal of it a couple years ago and use it in all my equipment including my Premacon Excavator. I have been using RC4WD 6500 MAH 20c 3 cell Batteriies and they work great, with the Loader I get about 50 min of hard work, which is plenty for me, if Need more I charge more Battteries, I have 5 or 6.
Congrats on the Loader it really is a good Loader for the money, and seems to out lift everything except maybe futomic. I have the quick atttach and can put my dozer blade or my forks on it check my pictures out on Tobias Breaker's WEb site. David |

Congrats. It's a heavy and strong loader. Don't want to scare you,
actually I got 3 of them sitting on my workbench now) Friends loaders in for a service. So there are some typical issues; - Hydraulic tube fittings: thread sealent is probably an unkown invention in China. After some time of operation, it's not unusual with a small issue concerning...oil leakage. Loctite 542 or equivialent. If one bother to set off some time to check all fittings one can reach, typically on the cylinders) There is a bunch of hose connections positioned under the cab, EXCACTLY above the motor. After some hours of operation, its not unusual that the motor get socked in oil, -> call the fire department) An idea can be to try put some kind of cover above the motor, sheet metal, plastic. -We've disengaged the diff.lock on the front axle on all the loaders to save the gears and bearings in there. The axles are known not to be too strong, so we try to put as little strain on them as possible - Valve servos. They don't last forever. Good idea to have a couple in spare

Sounds like we need those 3d printers punching out some type of motor cover to protect against the oil leaking onto a hot motor. Which is why I try and do a good once around after each use. Over a year of use and problem free, all working machinery requires some type of P/M

Rimrock, thanks for those tips! After speaking with tang when the newer body design came out, I asked him if anything else was changed? He mentioned the servos are much stronger now and the new esc has a thermal shutdown since they took out the rear fan. He also mentioned the front cylinders were upgraded towards version 1.5 with the diff. Out of those 3 loaders you have on your bench, would you happen to know which versions they are assuming the new body design is 2.0 and the previous body with upgraded diff and cylinders is 1.5

Hit up your local CAT dealer or heavy equipment rentals I’m sure you will find something there. I bought some Hydo Advanced 10 at my local CAT dealer.

Do/will they sell it like bulk, or do you have to buy the entire 5gallon bucket from them? If I could buy ONLY a pint of it from them I'm all about buying from them.

I know you can get them in 5 liter jugs but the dealer nearby only had 5 gallon buckets in stock so that’s what I ended up with. Should be good for a while lol

What he /\ said. I'd buy a pint, it anyone's interested in selling. The smallest I've been able to source are the 5 gallon buckets. 5 gallon, just WAY too much for this 1 lil machine.

Try a search on these numbers,
309-6932: CAT® HYDO ADVANCED 10 (1 G) 309-6945: CAT® HYDO ADVANCED 10 (5 L) Or maybe you can call up a few local machinery operators or mechanics to see if they'd sell off a fill? If ya brought the machine with you to show off, you'd probably get most mechanics to stop what they're doing and nerd out about it.

Make sure it’s a tight fitting bottle and wrap it up in 2 bags tape and seal . I don’t think Canada post will be to happy if it started to leak .

Couldn’t agree more. Would hate to damage someone else’s parcel or make a mess of the delivery person’s truck.
