First build, spent 2wks looking in the box at all the parts, if that wasn't hard enough, I started thinking what I can change. This is the first try making a right hand drive dash.
then the build started and am up the this stage, but the questions still came. Reading threads makes it harder kinda when the gear box went together it had a reduction box screwed to it, is that over kill. I read the people thought the trucks moved a little quick. I am now waiting for the MFU or MFC to arrive and so far only one question about it, does it reduce the voltage to the receiver or give it the full 7.2 volts if so will it hurt the receiver. Now the painting begins, that will be fun. Thanks guys |

The colour changes daily Andy, just now it is Candy Blue with a Silver stripe narrow at the front to wide at the back of the sleeper. I have a card silhouette of the side that I will be playing with tomorrow. Just painting that area between the cab and sleeper worries me a little, any hints of how to get the paint in there without runs?

g'day ollie best way i have found for the paint out to run is use a fine low tack tap and use a ruler ti get in to the tight bits

When you paint it, "shoot" the spots in between the cab and sleeper first with a few light/dry coats. This will get you the color in there, then when you paint the rest of the truck color will already be there and all you have to do then is worry about keeping it wet for shine/gloss.
