This is not just a conversion......it's a transformation of total proportion. I just ordered another Steiger too....

Looks great FGD! Very creative and I'd say it could easily pass for something that this company would manufacture!
I may have missed it, but are you using screw drives for the bucket or something else? Surely not hydraulics if this is a "budget build"... |

Ingenius Freddy!
![]() You're right, TTM doesn't have hyds on their site anymore. Scale Art makes a mini pump similar in size to Leimbach's and there's several skilled machinists here on the forum that could probably manufacture your valves & cyls for ya. ![]() |

Once again,Thanks Guys!
Yea Mazdaparts,I'm still toyin w/the idea of moving the back glass straight. Was going to cut about an 1/2" out of it to make it look more real, but turns out I had to stuff some of the runnin gear in it. ![]() Acouple of people asked if it is going to be screwdrive. Here's what I decided to do. ![]() ![]() Even managed to get two packs in er. One under the seat & one under the rear chassis. ![]() Now the cylinders. Had to make up a different mount for rear of cylinders, due to there just a tad to long. But can change them at anytime later down the road. The 40mm are perfect, but can't get them in the bore I want.So once I'm set up right,I'll make a set that will be perfect for this baby. ![]() ![]() ![]() The best part is! It's all gunna fit! ![]() ![]() Thanks for lookin! FGD

Nice work, as usual, Fred! So are you running everything on 7.2 volts, or 14.4 volts? Packs in series, parallel, or one for the drivetrain, and one for the pump?
The bucket reach looks good. One thing I was going to ask - are the pivots points and joints on these models bushed at all, or does it not matter? Aluminum will eventually wear out, I would guess. Just curious if anyone worries about that sort of thing. I never really saw any Stahl or Wedico machines up close. Do they run bushings? Those are some nice battery packs. 2/3A cells, right? Did you build them yourself, in that configuration? I can think of a couple uses for a pack that size. Where did you find them?

Freddy - I think you will want to make the rear bumper bigger for more weight balance - and the aluminum axel for the bucket end is ideal - great choice.
