Default Re: 1/10 GMC PD-4501 Greyhound Scenicruiser Bus Build-3d printed

Your bus project is really starting to come together nicely, you and your printer have been busy. (Any idea how many print hours you have in it?)

With the exception of the rear window it looks like all of the curves in the glass will just be simple curves. Heat forming canopies/windshields is not that complicated, there's lots of videos on DIY vacuum forming. And you really don't need much more than a heat gun, a shop-vac, and some wood scraps. The wood's to make the vacuum box.

You've already got the 3D model, it won't take too much additional work to model the plugs that you'll need to make the curved glass parts. Of course you'll need to sand/fill the layer lines on the plugs - but I'm sure you are familiar with that process by now.

SuperfastMatt recently did a video about how not to make a windshield for his Bonneville streamliner, in fact he showed how not to do it several times. But, he also needs something a little more optically clear than you need for an RC bus.
