Default Re: Steamer

Well I guess that I should start a truck build and this is my first RC truck. Was a Wall Mart last year and saw this Freight liner dump with pup. Thought that it might be a good truck to model

Took it home and put it away and that was it, till I met up with Lou and Greg at a train show in Port Alberni. Seeing the great models that they had, I was hooked. Back in the sixties I worked for the Four Wheel Drive Corporation in Kitchener on the end of the highway truck line. We built one cab over with a longer frame that had a dump body installed buy Frink. That truck always stuck with me, so I decided why not build it from the Globe Liner. The first thing to do was install a longer frame and put on plenty of fuel for the long haul trips.

I also ran the cab through the table saw to go from a 108" cab to a 96".

Thanks for looking
Rob
