One thing I would like some input on is what should I use for hydraulic fluid?
I know the manufacturer of the pump and hydraulics recommends using antifreeze with this system but that is what was run in it before and it really made everything sticky and gummed up so I will not be going back with it for those two reasons alone. I'm thinking I will probably just buy a quart of iso 32 hydraulic fluid due to the sheer fact that it is considered a 10wt oil and is should flow nicely and lubricate everything very well. I was wondering what most of the hydraulic guys use around here and if I'm on the right track. I also know I have some Lucas brand synthetic fork oil that is used for motorcycles at work and thought maybe that would be the way to go but I have no idea of it's properties or how it breaks down under high pressure and being forced through the hydraulic system and small valve ports. Any advice or help on this would be greatly appreciated. Tyler
