this is purely my opinion but i think the groundhogs are getting fed up with being bothered by us to wake up to tell us about the winter.they are probably thinking ...people thats what you have weathermen and ladies for and lets not forget about that modern technology we have .they figure if the lie a few times then we will get fed up also and leave them alone because they really don't know squat
