Don't be in a hurry to make any decisions and look at the different models built with the Knight Hauler as a base before you decide.
It could be a great build either way

As far as being in trouble with the "little woman", just tell her your in 'Replica Therapy'
and a truck every 6 months is standard therapeutic practice in a case like yours
