Tamiyaico? Frieghtliner?
Well I have been slowly building up wedico parts over the years and I have always liked there Frightliner cabs so I started digging parts out of the parts boxes and got started..
Started with a stock 19 3/4 wedico chassis. And mocked up some KH steps and tanks as they are frieghtliner tanks and steps any ways and I want to use as many parts out of the boxes in the shop as I can. Well then I did not like the wedico chassis so I built and new longer one out of blank rail and tamiya cross members and it looked much better. Well then the stock wedico wheels and tires were bugging me so they had to go so I made some new spacers and mounted stock tamiya wheels and Verik low pros. I tried stock tires but I like the lowered look better.. So then I took nylon round stock and made wheel spacer adapters to use the tamiya wheels on wedico drives. Side by side comparison.... wedico looses this round.. New stance low and lean looking.. Now cab and sleeper mounted and the over sized phillips screws in the cab and sleeper have been replaced with nice low pro button head ones. Also you can see I have removed all the decals and well the powder coat on the hood came with then in sheets.. Grrrr That is it for now.. Now to dig into the parts boxes and find a tranny probly a R2 I think and a 55 turn..
