Jason, yours is a much needed thread. I'm ready to jump into this technology, but the amount of information and opinions out there, makes it difficult to determine the best fit for my needs.
Would you mind sharing what printer you have settled on, what program(s) you're using, and the raw materials you prefer? Maybe some day there will be a dedicated section just for 3D printing.
