Hi Cooper the house looks great Congratulations on it. That box you built I don't know what it is, but it's the best one I've ever seen. Ed

Thanks bo , house is pretty nice, not really looking forward to moving but looking forward to moving in!! eBay time!!! The welding was going slow but once I got everything lined up and got one good bead it clicked and everything I had been reading made sense. Hopefully I don't regress on a part I have a bunch of tie into. But head swelling will be deflated when it does and I'll gain more appreciation for the guys doing it for a living!!! Already do!!

What a feeling it is when " it clicked and everything I had been reading made sense " The brain can go in recover mode and it just works.......nothing can stop you just going going.

It's surprising that after all the whining you did on your dozer build of how much you hated mig welding, you've picked up on tig'ing rather quickly, Congrats to you!!!
![]() ![]() Tig for me not going so well, can hardly see the puddle correctly & not steady working without arm rests. ![]() How much bigger is new garage? And it's still a detach?

After doing a lot of self learning I picked up on quite a bit. And also on mig welding. Just didn't know what the heck I was doing.
The garage is about 40x50, wood framing. I'm planing on new floor, ceiling, insulation, the whole 9yards so to speak. Hopefully I can have it finished before fall. No water (outside hose hydrant) but I will run a gas line for heat. I'll post progress pics when I get to it. Ed, always want to learn something!! Thanks!!

![]() ![]() Another thing to learn,, I don't know if I have the correct glue. If not I'll get some. After seeing ? The guy with the excavator, he made his tanks with acrylic and that's pretty cool. Thought I would give that a try.

RW, the new homestead looks very Stately! The welding looks great, I'm with Joe I need arm rests to steady myself and the eye sight is not conducive to good welds, I can run a bead but it usally isn't where it belongs. Can't see a thing when I strike an arc. Keep up the good work!

![]() ![]() Well I made the tank. I had some adhesive, several different kinds and did a test earlier today to see what one worked on acrylic and found one I have works. Takes up to 72 hours to cure. I have a small air pump to help ventilate inside. Hopefully speeds up set up and cure time.

![]() ![]() Tank will be housed in side fuel tank Steve, thanks on the new homestead. Not much to do inside but a lot of small things needing repair on outside structures. The table was from certi-flat or tabandslot dot com. They later cut everything very precise and all you do is clamp and weld it together. I don't like to push products but these guys make a pretty darn good product and its cheep. Like $300 compared to strong hand tables that are $3000. Accepts 5/8" clamp tools. They have all kinds and sizes. I'll look up the website later. It's something like tabnslot or tabandslot dot com. The way it's cut and put together the top comes out being +\- a couple thousands. Not bad for a inexpensive table. Also has lockable casters.

That's a really good idea making it clear to see the fluid level. You have a beautiful home Cooper congratulations!

I got the idea of the clear tank from paolo, he is building an excavator and as long as the one I made doesn't leak I'll be happy!!

The only thing I would add is another outlet higher up in tank where you want the fluid level to be when it's full. Leave enough room for expansion when the oil gets warm and run the hose out the bottom of the Aluminum tank
Great looking ranch you got there but I don't see a dog house outside yet!!! Rob |

Whoohooo!!! That's a big box!!!!
Finally got around to using the tig welder on steel. Wow a lot easier than aluminum!!! I guess I'm backwards because I learned how to tig weld aluminum first then steel. Definitely gonna be a very useful tool for building with sheet metal. These were the first parts I got to tig weld, mild steel onto stainless shafts. ![]() ![]() This is the start of the new garage/shop/ super-mancave!!!! ![]() Found a use for the one side tank, housing the prv and gauge. Not needing to access it too often. All the holes in cover will have screws but the whole box slips off with only a couple screws. ![]() ![]() And started running hydro lines. Working on hooking up electronics to get a first test run in tranny and hydro cylinders. ![]()
