Here is my new heavy haul cascadia that I recently finished. We have done several mods to the stock tractor. First of all, the frame was extended to accommodate for the tag axle. The tag is made from a front axle and is liftable with a retract servo. The truck also has a 6 speed transmission. This is achieved by putting a two speed "high low" transmission inline behind the stock transmission. The two speed tranny is from an old king hauler. We decided to go with the 1:1 and 1:4(first and third gear). Second gear gave us overlapping gear ratios. I am running 3 - 2s 4000mah packs in parallel in the sleeper for a total of 12,000 mah. Te trailer is custom made from 1/4 " steel square stock. The gooseneck is removable with functional catch and locking plate system. It uses a waking beam suspension. The tractor has rails for the lowboy to ride on when lifting the trailer off of the ground.

Very nice truck, the truck must pick up alot of speed with that 6 speed tranny.

Thanks thebigo, the truck in 1,2, and 3 high is the normal speed. When in 1,2 and 3 low, the gear ratio is much lower, allowing for scale driving, for example indoors.

Nice lowboy, I really like the hookup, did you build as a kit or from scratch? I need a truck and lowboy but want more of a off road truck. THought about the cross-rc truck with a dolly and a lowboy behind?

would you have some close-up pictures of the trailer? that looks like a tandem version of an aspen lowbed I used to pull many years ago. I'd like to be able to make a tridem version of the same trailer. the trailer had a break-neck and beaver-tail assembly, just like yours.
