rob , here's what I did
 this is the lever that closes the latch when the bed comes down to rest on the frame . It takes some tweaking till you get it right , but it works like a charm   lets see if the vid works ( i can't remember what the squeaking is  ) IHSteve

IHsteve. Thanks for that. Here I am thinking about servos and screw drive latches and sometimes a person works himself into a corner. That catch, you built is great and if you don't mind I'll change it a little bit and try to make one like it. The way it opens when the box lifts is what I'm looking for.

no Problem Rob , I tend to get a little suffisticated myself
. I to was going to use servos but as always for me , I improvised now I have an extra channel for something else glad I could help IHSteve
