hi all
I'm starting a new build as an 8x4 scania wrecker and need to get some chassis rails. Does anybody have the exact sizes of the Tamiya rails so I can see I can blank rails here in Australia and drill my own holes, budget is tight at the moment but want to a least get it rolling. Any help much appreciated. Mark |

Contact janderson on here as he is from tamiya USA and should be able to get you the different chassis rail lengths of the tamiya rigs.....
Cheers Tracy

The Tamiya rails section outer dimensions are, 21mm high, 7mm width over the flanges, 1.5 mm thick web/flanges. The inner corners are sharp, no visible radius. some after marked profiles have a radius. I more like the original Tamiya section, but aftermarket profiles will do, even if there should be a small inner radius.
I know at least of RigidRC.com online that offer similar to original Tamiya section rails, no holes, up to 1 meter lengths. Last edited by Rimrock; 03-21-2016 at 04:58 AM. |

stay away from ebay rails!!! buy from garden trucking, ihb scale models or truescale
most of the rails on ebay are to tall. stock brackets have to be ground to fit.. |

I second the garden rails, right size but soft material.
Std tamiya are anodized so they are more tough. Ihb machined rails http://www.rctruckandconstruction.co...splay.php?f=64 Really nice but limited in length. Nice tapered ends though. We'll worth the $ |
