While these first 2 AREN'T of mine, I did operate similar when I was in the U.S. Army............................but mine were kept upright
![]() ![]() ![]() This one was mine for a few months at my previous job. Here it is pictured weighing out at teh local rock pit ![]() The same truck at the construction site. I found a BIG sink hole. It swallowed the whole steer tire, & then some. All I have are close up pics of it, after it was removed, & cleaned up a bit ![]() ![]() The same day, after a day of hauling sticky clay from an excavation site. ![]() I WASN'T the driver when this happened! A friend of mine is the driver of this rig n at this time. I drove this rig for almost 2 years, before I moved from logging to dump trucking. ![]() the SAME jobsite, later had ANOTHER booboo when a slick log slid down the bank, & hit the trucks fender ![]() Summer of 2016, the lease truck while mine was in the shop for an inframe. In frame tourned in to be a TOTALL engine swap. I guess they SHOULD have listened to me when I told them the engine was making abnormal sounds. Even the mechaninc told them he wasn't sure WTF was going on, but it was indeed making strange noises while driving. ![]() A BAD day as a trasfer driver. The trailer tub was loaded. I went to place it back on the trailer chassis, & this happened. ![]() A few more I'll post too, but I'll break them into smaller increments |

These AREN'T mine, but I did see them in the ditch(es) while in my travels.
![]() ![]() same logging road, just a differnt day, & a different trucking company ![]() Both of those happened on the SAME logging road, headed to the same pit. |

The FIRST logging truck that was assigned to me. It was a 73 model A Kenworth, equipped with a Cummings Big Cam400, & it had been updated from the 4 & 5 boxes to a Eaton Fuller 13 speed before I got into it.

After the first company went out of business,
![]() It was equiped with Eaton Fuller 18 speed transmission, Cat 3406E at 500HP, engine brake, AND a retarder too. I LOVED the jake coupled with that retarder. I rarely, if ever maybe only a couple of times a day had to touch the brakes coming out of the woods. It didn't matter how steep the terrain was, this thing held back really good. It held so good, I'd go out the short way, that nobody else would go, for fear of burning up their brakes. they DIDN'T have retarders on their trucks ![]() Mt. Rainier in the distance, we're right near the border to the national park in this shot ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Somewhere I've got more. Those are the interesting ones. No matter where we seemed to work at, if there was a soft spot, I have a knack to find it. I'll be the one that gets stuck in that spot! I'll have to try & find those pics. They're ALL of various dump trucks that I ran over the years.

Not stuck, but I thought it was a neat pic. we're driving in/out the storm water retention pond we built for a new housing development.
![]() Not stuck in the conventional sense but kind of stuck.....LOL! I was loading myself with this when this fiasco happens. It broke where the axle had previously been welded. The company was too cheap to replace the axle with a new one. Instead they welded it together, & placed the machine back into service. It lasted a few months, before it broke again. They repaired it AGAIN, & sent it to auction. ![]() ![]() This one's stuck real good. I was relieving the operator so he ould get a break. I was told just keep throwing the dirt out to where the other machine can reach it. It took a Cat 400 excavator the better part of half a day to dig this out. ![]() Here's one of the lease truck, same one that has the load spilling over the sideboards in the previous post. I was told to back into the fill site, & stay as close to my right hand side as I could, as that's where they wanted me to dump at. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

One more of the broken JD320
![]() Here's the boogered up fender that I previously mentioned on the logging truck ![]() NOT MINE, but it did belong to the company I was working for. The swing yarder, at the rear of the photo. Yeah...................it's NOT suppose to lay down like that. LOL! Pulled too hard, & yanked the tail hold out of the ground. ![]() ![]() NOT mine, but a sister truck a the company I worked for. NICE load of pumpkins ![]() Me at work, releiving the flagger so they could go eat luch. I WASN'T a happy camper in this pic. My co-worker just HAD to take the d@m pic. ![]() |

As promised some more 1:1 stuck in the mud pics
This one, the fill site I was running to was 2 hours away from the nearest source of help. We had a D6 dozer on site, but the d@m battery in it was dead! I had to make the call for the mechanic to come help me. I was backing in, & felt the front end sinking into the mud. Knowing I was the ONLY driver hauling into this fill site, I stepped on the throttle, & got the front end outta the sinking part. When I let off the throttle, & began to stop backing, the rear tires sank. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Here's one of my co-workers, he eventually took over my truck when I left. He's standing next to a cedar log that's 75 inches wide. 75 inches, that's 6 FEET, 3 INCHES wide. That thing is wider then I am tall!

This one, I was 1.5-2 foot away from the edge of the edge, & it gave way.
![]() ![]() ![]() Here, you can see just how wet it was at this time. It rained so hard, the stuff I was hauling began to drip water out of the box. ![]() |
