I have to say you're doing some very impressive engineering.

I'm surprised to see you're getting numbers that low. Based on my experience with my faster r/c cars, I spec'ed out my 1/14 truck on the assumption that a 15A battery master switch wouldn't be enough so I went with 30A. I haven't wired in a fuse yet, but would love to find out I could get away with something less than 10A.
