So today was "New Scale Day" dun dun dun.. although they will sit now until spring is here I bet...
Delivered by a Freightshaker.. err i mean liner :P  He was met by Skylift's crane truck. Tandem Steer, Tandem Drive  In background is a dragline i previously visited. http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...y%20Equipment/   The JD 644j was the one that cleaned up the site nice again  All done!     Scale parts: in background you can see Boundary Dam Power station. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boundary_Dam_Power_Station   Dragline is getting close! Was supposed to be moved by Dec31st 2010 lol    City's Bomag Compactor: Got some shots of it in action as i was out and about   Some image manipulation to show how much of a tread these things have!

Today was interesting. This pulled up.
 Turns out they are from Florida, had a load of FROZEN food and FLOWERS... *facepalm* Well of couse Wal-Mart refused the load because the load is frozen and ruined! Apparently they have another store's order in there to and are currently going through the load to see if anything is good still... Well when the refer went by it said 62F on it. So I am assuming that the frozen food load is no longer frozen... and all the flowers have froze at one point. Oh and only one of them speaks english. I dont know what they were talking back and forth in but i have never heard it before!

they ended up throwing out everything. 3 stores worth of potted plants and frozen food... doesnt take rocket appliances to figure out that you cannot free plants and you have to keep frozen meat frozen... should have been 2 different loads.

Well they left the other day and well my office is full to the roof with plants lol. Salvage guy went through and checked what was still good lol. He said no where there was any meat so i dunno what the woman was going on about? maybe her english not that good.
so what happened. the boxes at front of trailer fell against vents for heater. blocked the air flow and so warm air didnt get to the back of the trailer and it froze about half the load. guy said that the leaves would just break off if touched!

These were not quite "at work" but close enough lol
hard to tell where the road edges are under a even layer of snow. NOTE how many wheels are under that trailer :P  Water hauler on its side after slipping off the road

guy came through with his 42 dodge. he rescued it out of a swamp. all he had to do was put in a battery and fresh fuel.

hay dean the 2355 dragline will be up soon. the track drives where broke we made up some pice so they can start putting it back together. new scale when the new office come

Martin - ya figured something was wrong. hadnt moved in awhile. on sunday there was a man lift out there and they were welding on the main boom to.
new scales are here but the office is "rented out" apparently. I dunno why they dont buy one but probably the mines is paying for the new office.

Well not really AT work but it was work related :P
Buddy of my Father bought this 1977? dodge fargo desoto. right now its a POS but he has these 'plans' for it. My Uncle on right and me next to the truck  see what i mean not that great lol     but it runs, has 2 new batteries and 2 tanks full of purple diesel what it should look like!

well now we got ourselfs some excitement out here today!! its hit 0c (32f) here today and now its getting sloppy and SLIPPERY!
Well in the pic the left most truck is stuck. RHD truck to lol. the other 2 are pulling him and the far right one just brought out tow ropes.
