Cast and chromed is how Ric does the older style. Alternatively you could make them out of plastic and paint them chrome. Best chrome paint I have seen is Eastwood Liquid Chrome, it looks pretty close to the real thing. In any case I have my popcorn for this one.

Too bad Eastwood Liquid chrome cannot be bought or used in California, but it really looks like a good product.

I dont know if anyone has used the Alclad II system for chrome. I use it and love it.
It has to be airbrushed, comes pre-reduced (no mixing). It has to be sprayed
over Alclad gloss black. They sell many different metal colors such as gun metal, aluminum and so on. Google Alclad and go to the manu. site.
Full directions are there for free. I'm not a good airbrusher and have used this
with great success.
No, I am in no way connected to Alclad. You can spray this with a single action airbrush.
