Thanks, Brass work doesn't really disappear with the paint on it. Want to work on the Studebaker but other new projects just keep appearing. Water buffalo trailer, COE military tanker, and military wheels and tires for most of my trucks have pushed the Studebaker build into the background for now. Can't seem to get my act together and finish any of my projects. I actually did finish the Bud truck. 1 down and too many to list to go!!

I can relate. I actually took a bunch of projects out of the main workshop and left a few, so as to make myself finish up the ones nearest completion. THEN, I can start on some other ideas...Dan

Wow. I just found this thread and I really enjoyed looking at your fine craftsmanship! I think the brass work is incredible! It's so good, I'm almost surprised the grill part of the cab, and the grill guard are also not made from brass! But that is not to take away from the beauty of this beast what so ever! It's a very nice build. That transfer case with seperate driveshafts for the rear axles is very cool. Something I've never seen done before. Actually pretty neat, because it does away with the need for a pass through axle. Wonder why the 1:1 was designed that way. Maybe to make do with what axles were available, or most common? Great job.

Nathan,
The grill is made from brass strip. Took quite a lot of time to solder together. The light guards are another story in themselves. Mike, U-joints are not that hard to make. Lynn |

And I thought that 1/14th scale was a pain!! 1/50th must be magnifier on at all times! I really need to get back on the Studebaker but my vendors items have me occupied for the time being. Looking into something very different from machining for the next product line

I wish that I could say it was finished but the light bezels business has me completely snowed under right now. The bezels should be finished this week until next year so I can finish the Stude and get some other things completed also. Always nice to have too many projects going at 1 time

I don't know about that, Lynn has a lot on his plate with his many projects. I know what it's like to be on a build that sometimes hits a snag or a decision needs to be made and before you know it, it's stalled.
That's why I have stopped the multi-builds at one time and concentrate on one at a time. I think I'll live longer without the extra stress even though it feels like it will take longer to finish them. ![]() ~ Jeff |

Thanks for coming to my defense, Jeff, but I know that Tim is just having some fun at my expense

Oh I know it was all in fun, I was just stating a fact. I've seen the numerous projects you have going ... and that's without even visiting the workshop.
