Thanks Joe ..The little tag Has very little backlash..Im getting much more cofortable on the CAD program..Learning a few 3D parts as well..The main thing with these things you have to remember is the it makes mistakes if you tell it to..I broke about a half dozen tool bits learning ..I have about 200 hours on it now ..the first 100 took in setting up and installing limit switches ..Sure glad they are there ..Now with the way its set up when I first start the gcode program if there is some thing not correct in travel the machine wont start traveling ..Very cool ..im realy ejoying this ..I do want to have a bit bigger manual milling machine at my disposal one day .. |

![]() ![]() ![]() As you can see I machined the slides in one complete peice so that everything would stay true when i bolted this to the blade ..i then cut the small tab off that hold the two slides together ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Found a chunk of 3/4 and got the taig hogging out ![]() ![]() Big 1/4 scales mounted for the articulation ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() http://s181.photobucket.com/user/tra...1b5f6.jpg.html ![]() Thats all for now |

Coming alone very well Lou. How many functions are you going to have ? And how many are going to be spools?

Awesome! I love the CNC machined parts! Maybe someday I'll be able to make something as cool as your grader. Looking forward to the updates, Lou.

Lou, you're making great progress. Can't believe how much you've accomplished since last Sat. If you keep that up it'll be moving dirt before Christmas. Well maybe not, I got the bad news our goodies are out of stock and won't be shipped till the 20th Dec. Anyhow great work and keep the pictures coming.

Wow! Nice work Lou! You have been busy, that's for sure. I am amazed at the pieces you have been able to make with such a small cnc. Are you pushing to have this done for the show in CR? Do you know a solid date for that yet?

Excellent job!!!...WOW!!...I know how much time and work it takes me to make parts for my simple builds so I can appreciate and admire the work you have in this build...
This forum is loaded with many very skilled and talented people which is a great help for those of us who may be lacking in skills and new to the hobby... Keep up the great work !!! |

Jerrrett ..not Quite yet..lol..All the details are gona take some time but I am almost ready for hydros ..still a few bugs to work out ..I am not sure if the big 1/4 scale servo is gona be quite strong enough for the atriculation yet after some short testing ..may have to go hydro ..On the plus side that would make more room in the engine compartment Thanks for looking |

I did some testing on the drivetrain ..sorry no vids yet but soon ..and had some difficulty with the steering and binding ..I ended up making a bearing block and seems to work much better ..The o-ring drive belt i was using at first was slipping too much and putting too much tension on the whole assembly so i dug in my parts box and foung a nice little tooth belt and cogged pullies..Much better ..Having the front wheel drive makes things way more complicated and wheel tilt as well as having the whole asembly ossilate and steering was a challenge to make work ok ..still not perfect but it does work..

Wow Lou, nice progress. I can just imagine that the 6 wheel drive is probably twice as complex than the 4 wheel dive would be to build. Your doing a jam up job on this and your CNC work. Ready to see it work.
I ran Robs blade at ST Louis last year it was blast. Your going to have fun with this.
