I have seen many different ways.I was going to use linkages and a cantilever arm so I could hide the servo.I thought that would be the best way.But I'm still on my learning curve,so alot of trial and error.

There are alot of threads out there to look at.Look at some of the European forums.They have there stuff together.They think things out and over engineer but in the end it's a class act.Thats where I found my plan for multiple lift and steering axles.I'll see if I still have the link.

I'm just learning too. I managed to stuff a standard size Futaba servo into my truck for the fifth wheel release, no room for error.
Now I learned to go with a micro servo on Sue's truck. Way easier to work with
If you go with a lever system for the drop axle.would a linear servo work well for room and strength?
