AH, that was one I missed...
- a new kind of 'hubcap'... one that would end up covering the whole inner cavity of the wheel, like many automotive hubcaps do. Think like the milSpec ones on the HEMTT's and such, or the ones on the APC in Aliens, or the ones on the RT's (the 8x8's) in 'Prometheus'. They ~could~ be flat and unmarked - think of those old extender-axle stubs they made for the the Tamiya buggies. You attach the hub-cover to a threaded bolt, and weld/braise/whatever, and it just screws into the extension, instead of the extended axle. Sure there are a few other ways to make them... Thoughts? |

I think I have a simpler 'hubcap' solution, but not gonna threadjack, so moving it.
Please read if you're interested, and gimme opinions. And NO, Admin, I'm NOT gonna become a vendor for these. Don't have the facilities for it. Besides, this method is DIY. WhiteWolf Edit: oh ~bother~, where should I put it? |
