I use a scroll saw to cut out the windows and then file them straight if need be. The wheelhouse-etc on the Blue Bayou is .050, Jackfish is .063 everywhere.

Thanks very much. It was really great to get both boats on the water together while my buddy was here. The blue one has gone home with him now, far away from the coast so I doubt it will ever happen again. I have to say that it was a great moment to see my friends reaction when he first saw the boat in our shop. He didn't know that it was anything more than a hull and motor and was completely surprized by it...

you're a very talented bloke Reg, no two ways about it. Hats off to you on these builds mate. Making the boat from almost nothing? Crickey, I've seen kits that wouldn't come anywhere near the quality.

Making things from very little is where it's at for me. I never have a big budget but I don't mind putting in the hours to make up for it. I appreciate the compliment and will keep it up as long as this hobby puts a smile on my face!
