Hey guys here is my 53 foot spread axle race trailer I built out of a Bruder drop trailer and A LOT of Alum.. I am missing some of my picks of the build but here is what I have.
Now I am not totally sure any more but I think i stretched the top deck out 6 inches and the lower deck out 10 or 12 inches I can remember. All the plastic was filled back in and the frame beefed up with alum angle. The upper alum frame is all angle and then the angle braces are just flat alum strap. All the alum is bolted together and this trailer can handle way way more weight then i can get in it. I have new alum rims I need to get installed on it still. ![]() ![]() The sides are made out of .080 sheet plastic as is the tailgate. the roof is set up so it comes off so you can see inside. ![]() ![]() ![]() The outside was done by the shop that does the body wraps on my work vans and he did a out standing job. the sides are all printed out then applied. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here is some video of the tail gate working. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdWpcbTajLQ
