Fumotec not selling to US?

I got a pretty nice bonus at work and decided I wanted to buy a machine from Fumotec. I emailed them earlier this week and got back the following reply:

"Hello Stewart,
I am sorry for the late reply.
Currently we do not sell to US or Canada due to liability issues.
We are working on this Problem and are trying to get this sorted.
If you are still interested we can keep you updated in the future.
Thank you very much for your interest in our products.

Does anyone have any advice? Should I try to go thru Vario? I would prefer not to buy a machine from Eagle
