Hey guys I bought a traxxas 8400 mah batter to replace the hk ones I had and they quit selling. I didn't read the fine print that traxxas has a system that has the balance leads included in the plug. To me I do t understand it because it is a three cell and has the main red and black battery cables with two smaller red nblack wires for the balancing. How do the balance? I can always tear it apart and hook up my own balance plug like I would like but before I do I thought I would ask if any of you have converted one of these battery's charge plugs to what I would consider normal plug and balance plug. If it were a two cell I wouldn't really care but three I would like to know independently what cells are at.
![]() ![]() ![]() I like these batteries, not really the name brand , but the size and capacities. It's what I've designed most of my equipment around. And now hobby ( becoming a bad place) king quit selling the capacity battery I can't replenish the stock.

Is it too late to return it ? You can still find the 8400 lipo without the ID connector.

Thanks for correcting the title.
And thanks for the picture they have. I still can't wrap my head around how they are balancing three cells with that configuration. Unless they are using the combined voltage for the third cell and not having a balancing lead wire for it. Looks like I'm going to open it up and instal my own. That way I know for sure all cells are where they should be.

![]() ![]() Crap!! I wish I would have cought it in the description somewhere that this was a 3s2p!!! I may break it up to some 2s packs. I don't like anything over 2s in the 2p configuration. Another live n learn mistake by not reading!!! Lol!!!

3s is three cells in series to,get 11.1v and it only has 3 cells. A 3s2p is three cells in series and 2 in parallel. So that pack is actually 6 cells all together. Basically a set of three cells doubled up.
