Hi all,
I have a build issue im hoping someone might be able to help with. A couple of years ago, my lovely wife purchased a 1983 Mack Superliner 3d printed cab from Shapeways online. The cab is gorgeous, and it came with all of the Superliner badges, MACK badges, even the bulldog for the hood. We recently moved house. And, all the badges have gone missing.... Shapeways has, to my understanding, closed up shop permanently. Is there anyone out there in trucker world that replicates these types of badges? I will post pics of my build soon, but I'm desperately wanting to replace my missing badges. Any help would be much appreciated guys. Thankyou in advance. |

Shapeways did indeed go under. They have recently resurfaced though under all new management and now selling the same services as before. Unfortunately all the model files they had were deleted as part of the bankruptcy and are no longer available. They do have a separate site with downloadable files called thangs.com. I just did a quick search using the work 'mack' and immediately found a Mack bulldog hood ornament. It would have to be scaled down to fit your truck, but it's an option. So you might want to give that a try and see what else is there. There are a number of similar sites today that could also be searched. Some are free to download and some are pay. Thingiverse, cults3d and printables are just a few. Good luck in your search. Look forward to seeing your build.

Hey Zabco thankyou for that info mate.
I'll definitely have a good look for sure. It's been so long since I've been on here I'm still trying to remember how to post pics up. I'll get worked out soon and put a few up. Thanks again |

You will have to use an outside hosting service to upload your photos to and then post the link to them here. Unfortunately this forum does not get near the amount of viewers/posters that it used to. There are still a few of us who regularly visit but there is a sister site on facebook and most have moved over there. FB is faster and you can directly post photos and videos there which is what people want today. What you can't do is create long step by step build build series that this site was so good for. Just an absolute treasure trove of information and techniques here that will never be available anywhere else.
