Thought so... I've tried that esc too & it's piss poor control for a ground vehicle.
An Mtronics Viper Marine 15 is one the best ever esc's I have ever used in my loader & all but one of my trks run them too. It works xllnt to control 4 wheel motors. Much finer control at a very low speed, you won't spin your wheels so easily which will give you better traction & a smoother push. ![]() http://www.strikemodels.com/products/speed-controllers/

thanks Lou . I kinda got use to it towards the end of the show . It took me a bit to get use to grading with my eyes and not the seat of my pants
![]() I asked Joe before but can't remember his answer . Will the Viper Marine 15 run all 4 motors ? or should I go with 2 (1/axle) or bump up to Viper Marine 40 ?

You'll be fine with one esc Steve. That's all I have ever run in my in Stahl loader for the last 10yrs. I use a 15 with no troubles... a 20 is little extra cost now, it didn't exist when I put that 15 in it yrs ago.
I use a 2x12 Sabertooth in my Stahl 6wd adt, with the mix off, one motor controller is for/rev & the 2nd esc runs the pump. 6 motors have never stalled that 12amp rating either.

No, I have always run 10cell NiMH... the taller batt is a 4000mAh, a little bit extra weight & fits perfectly in the back of loader. The other batt is a 2700mAh.

Nice work, Steve. Looks like it pushes great, with those compactor wheels. Probably digs in better than most rubber tire machines!

Interesting videos steve-I was wondering how this model would push since you don't have much area in contact with the ground. Looks like it works fine. I have watched a lot of video of the silver spade with a wheel dozer working underneath it and they never do any heavy pushing, just clean-up work, like you were doing with the dragline. Looks like a very successful and well handling machine.

That is great, It makes short work of the piles thats for sure. I have had one of these on a project spreading and compacting lifts from the scrapers while constructing a rail yard. One machine kept up with 5 scrapers with no problem and we never had any issues getting our densities.
