Re: Bruder Delta tracked loader
Well done! And thanks for listing the parts used. Helps for those of us not experienced with RC components.

I charged a 7.2v (6 cell nimh) 1500mah losi mini-t battery and ran it for over an hour today to see how much power it uses and it was still going strong. So, I don't really know how long one charge will last but I would say it is efficient.

Re: Bruder Delta tracked loader
Great build! Thanks for showing what motors you used with the Tamiya gearbox. I've been stuck on my Bruder conversion looking for replacements for the stock Tamiya ones. Looked at everything except slotcars - DOH!

Re: Bruder Delta tracked loader
Nice build Scott! You should have built two or three in the process so you can keep one. You still should let Scotty up here try to break it

Thanks Steve! I am in the process of building 2 more right now that are already sold and I might just keep the first one I built for myself. York should be a blast, I can't wait.

Re: Bruder Delta tracked loader
Well done...I admire you guys that can make models that small work... Any thing smaller than about 1/8 scale is too small for me...

I improved the bucket curl mounts. The mounts on the prototype loader work fine but, they don't like nice. This design has more rigidity and protects the servos from getting hit: With the servo screw heads milled down it allows the two servos (sitting back to back) to fit nicely in the lift assembly and creates a rigid assembly. I also made beefier aluminum drive hubs. I'll post up pics later when I get the 4-40 screws that I ordered for them.

Another photo of the new bucket curl mounts. If you look closely you will see a small kick plate between the servo and the hoop mount. It locks the bottom of the servos tight against the bottom plate.

Since I had to order more parts, I have a more accurate list: Radio system Tamiya twin motor gearbox shims for tamiya gearbox assembly (you loose about 10 to 20% of gear contact on some of them if you leave them sloppy) silicone to seal gearbox up (makes it last a very long time) 2 x slotcar motors (tamiya motors are 3.5 volts and fry quickly) Aluminum stock to make drive hubs 4-40 screws & washers to secure gearbox to chassis Saber tooth motor controller 5 volt 5 amp (continuous) bec Hitec Digital HS-7955 TG lift servo 2 x hitec hs-5065mg digital servos for bucket curl Hitec servo programmer 3" Y harness to join the 2 bucket curl servos 2 x 12" male servo leads to extend the bucket curl servos heat shrink for all of the bucket curl servo wiring piece of bicycle inner tube for lift lever cover (need to post pics) 4-40 rod and clevis for lift lever lead weight and 1 boat load of patience
