Challenger logging truck
Here's some photo's of a 1/12 scale Challenger logging truck. The origional full size trucks were manufactured here in Port Alberni and I machined a number of parts for each one. As well as fabricating the rear ends with functional diffs for the model. My father built everything else from scratch.
The truck is 32" bumper to bumper and weighs roughly 75 pounds. The preload is functional and is run via screw drive from a 3/8" cordless drill. The main drive is also a drill motor with high and low gears. Currently it is tethered to a remote box but plans are in the works for Radio control. loader 008.jpg loader 003.jpg loader 007.jpg |

Re: Challenger logging truck
WOW. You have a big jump start on us. It won't be long, before you can play with Lou and Greg. Some of us will have to watch on the sidelines and drink beer instead. LOL.

Re: Challenger logging truck
Once we get going on the projects things will move along quickly. Now I just have to convince my wife to let me out on another evening of the week just for build time

Re: Challenger logging truck
Ok, I'm having the same problem as Stuff, can't see any pics from you. Click on them and it wants me to log in, but I already am. Confusing, what am I doing wrong???
EDIT; Now that I logged in twice it seems to be working. Looking good!

Re: Challenger logging truck
I've had the same issue with others pictures. But it always seems to work itself out
