Default Searching measure values for a 53ft flatdeck

Hi...

I asked my sun what kind of trailer he wants to have for his Knight Hauler Longline and he selected a 53 ft flatdeck with spread axles and a box in between.

Now I'm searching for measures to realize this wish. Mainly I'm searchin for
- The distance between the two axles
- The distance between the rear axle and the end of the trailer
- The distance between the front of the trailer and the support legs

Many thanx in advance for your assistance.

flatdeck is an unknown quantity at this point

On a 53' trailer the back axle can not be any more that 48' ( in Canada) and for the spread you can have 48", 51" 60", 72" 84" what ever you want.. you need to use a scale conversion calculator.....

Spread axles are generally spaced at 10'-2". Like Flatdeck said, rear axle is usually where you find it on a 48' trailer. On a 48' Trailer the rear axle is normally 28-30" from the rear of the trailer, so you would tack the extra onto that. That is why 53' trailers usually have such a long overhang (see pic) Kingpin is normally 30" from the front and legs somewhere around the 130" mark. Trailers are generally 102" wide, you won't get the deck height quite right because of the truck's 5th wheel ht. Remember, divide dimesions by 13.5 and not 14 to get the true scale of the tamiya truck.

Hope this helps,
Chris
