Default newbie 1st build custom grand hauler

Hi all i'm a newbie to the hobby, so please excuse my ignorance. about a month ago I was messing around online and came across the orange stretched king hauler on ***'s web site ,and decided I had to have one. a few weeks ago I had a grand hauler delivered, I built it and am moving on to a semi-scratch build. I figured if I started a thread it'd motivate me to see it through completion.

so my first question is I just bought two lesu axles, and the rear link suspension kit, it came with the brackets to mount the lower links to the axle but no way to install the upper wishbone link the the axle housing, has anybody come across this?

thanks for the help
Scott M

Doesnt that setup come with a full suspension attached?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LESU-TRACTOR...sAAOSwl8NVZjGV

It's weird that your axels dont have the pins on top for the wishbone, Also weird that, that entire suspension does not come pre assembled. Looks like there should be two holes on top and bottom where you can attached that center pin for the wishbone.
Maybe who ever you got this from didnt include it?

The easiest way to post pix is to take photos and then put them up on photobucket, copy the direct link and press the little mountaint image on here and paste in the box that comes up.

Honestly, I wouldn't drill them, I think that you should contact who ever you got them from and say hey listen its missing the mounts. The axles are useless without that wishbone part. The axles should have the holes already drilled to mount the part.

Unless you can figure out a way to use tamiya suspensions with the axles but than that will defeat the purpose.

Hello Scott

The missing parts you need is not included in the kit.....and that is stupid.
the only seller that will include that is amusingparts123 on evilbye.
But you need to ask him to do that....who would know you need to ask for it anyway. Hope you can solve the problem. good luck

Right on thanks guys. It was semi joes truck shop. What bs that the brackets aren't included. I thought that I got everything that was in the pic minus the axles. But he also miss led me on the aluminum frame pieces his picture shows 3 but he only ships one. After I get my axle brackets I'm done dealing with him.

Hey Scott M, If you scroll down in the add page it says you need extra parts depending on what axle your using. Not sure if that is the part you are missing? I've ordered a bunch from Joes and never had a problem (some times extra parts) maybe just lucky? But like bigford said you can file a claim and it should work out one way or another.

I wish I would have thought about requesting them before ordering the brackets I don't see how he has such a good trader rating, with the way he does the bait and switch.
