Got some pictures today it was raining out so no in use videos. For the conversion I try to buy a used axial scx 10 scale truck. Basically tear it down use all electronics full axle assembles. Uses some aluminum to attach it to the frame. You have to cut some of the tonka frame down so the axle will sit were the tonka axle did. To move the bottom dump open and close used a firgelli actuator attached underneath to the closest one and a peace of aluminum attached the two openings. If any more question just ask. ( it makes sense in my mind but that doesn't mean it does for everybody else haha) on to pictures
![]() ![]() The rear axle had to be narrowed so it would look proper. ![]() ![]() All the electronics are under the cab for a nice clean look ![]() |

I like it very clean and simple. As you start using it I am interested to see how well it works with out suspension travel.

I've used my tonka dump truck it's built the same way and it works great. You don't wanna set any speed records with it but it hauls heavy loads easily. I tried doing suspension when I built it. And it was impossible to get suspension and have it look like it wasn't converted also was hard to find something that would work once you put 30 lbs of material in it.

Ya the truck I used for the conversion is brushless needs a good brushed motor will help with torque.

Nice conversion! Not sure what type firgelli you have, operated by (RX or esc) but if your on a self centering stick or 3 postion switch with the "R" version (RX) you can grab a camera positioning module to hold the actuator at any place in the stroke. Could help with flow control out of the dump.
