Got the 9X radio today, downloaded the manual and still can't figure out how to slow down the steering servo unless it is the rudder dual rate thing?
Any help here.
Thanks,
Alan

I have a Smartieparts board installed in my 9X radio, I'm not sure how to set anything up on the stock one. Check out here: http://smartieparts.com/shop/index.p...roducts_id=383

I like the truck - looks great and 1/12 sounds like a nice size.

I would love to see size comparison pics between the Tamiya rigs and this. I have had a King hauler, built a Axial scx-10 6x6 using Bullhead body, and currently have a Tamiya Aeromax 6x6 but I always want BIGGER!

If I could sell some things maybe I could get one?

I will take a side-by-side shot next to my knight hauler in a couple days.

I've been working on getting together a couple small upgrade kits to sell for this truck. Mostly just the screws you need to change around the steering in the front, and also a spring damper kit in the back to give the rear wheels a limit on how far down the suspension can travel. I actually had my leaf spring bend downwards when I tried to climb over something really tall. Nothing limits the travel downwards to prevent damage.

Also a full ball link upgrade with metal ball joints instead of the plastic ones everything comes with.

AND sewing a final canvas cover, I want to make a couple of those ready to sell too.

I made a new video today, the UC6 makes an appearance at the end!

I took some pics of the size difference of the Tamiya Knight Hauler.

I'm working on a big upgrade kit with a ton of hardware. Also a overhaul to the rear suspension parts. They were made out of the flexible plastic and really the only weak point I found on the whole truck. I will be making a video when its ready to go of all the differences and how to install it. Anyone interested? No price figured out yet.

I also decided not to sell the canvas covers.

Pic of the CAD for the overhaul pieces:

What mods did you do to the Battle Systems in the tanks? Tamiya TigerI should have stopped when you shot it and the lights lit up. 3D printed tanks looked nice!!

I got the upgrade kit installed on mine. If anyone is interested in ordering one let me know, I have not figure out a price yet. It comes with metal ball joints and better links to replace every single link on the truck, new hardware to rearrange the front steering bar to the back side, assorted different screws, metal dampers (from the Tamiya trucks) to limit the suspension downward motion to avoid damage, and 3d printed parts to replace the flexible parts on the rear suspension. The printed parts use coarse sheet metal screws, they bite into plastic so much better then using fine pitch metric. I already stripped one of the stock parts out that used the fine pitch into plastic.

The dampers are a critical part of the upgrade, they keep the axles from bending downwards. If you notice in my videos when I tried to test the strength of the truck the tires had so much traction the axles would actually bend under the vehicle, this upgrade prevents that, aswell as prevent any damage from trying to crawl over large objects.

Hi. Working on mine, so am very interested in the rear suspension stuff you spoke of. Not bothered about the metal ball joints, links or steering mod (the difference is very marginal). Are these up for sale yet, and if so, where?

Cheers, and thanks also for those build/review videos - they helped me decide between this and a Beast II.

Tamiya tiger 1 has 9 hits to give if it's set to heavy. TBU lights up everytime it takes a hit then flashes repeatedly when destroyed. Looked right to me.
