Re: Cabin Fever 2017
Well,,,, today is a rain day and I've got most everything packed and ready to go. As long as everything is still good to go in morning I should be arriving sometime after 8-9 Friday morning. If anyone needs something (if I have it ) I'll bring along. See you guys tomorrow.

Re: Cabin Fever 2017
Ya, I actually tried to post a few and got a error, let me try again. But, I don't really have the "good pictures" I'm sure the other guys have some good pics and videos.
This is the north side of Pittsburgh on my way out Wednesday. This is the mountains just coming into Harrisburg. The Appilachian Trail is there someplace. This is a taco pizza from A&M pizza on Wednesday nite. Walking distance from the holiday inn express. And finally we get to some machine photos! This is the inside of the 9W primary wire block that got pulled loose on Saturday. Got it running after some troubleshooting. Crowd and a few operators on the south side. Other side and, another view. This was Saturday. Before shot of the dirt pile. Had to get a shot of this little model lock system. Much smaller than mine at home. |

Re: Cabin Fever 2017
Thank You all for a Fantastic Cabin Fever Expo Event 2017. In my mind the best so far. It was great to se all of you New and Old Friends. A ton of fun to watch the Young Girls and Boys driving and digging the giant dirt pile. Fantastic Kids. And no lack of interest from the older crowd to shape the event to such success. I'm sure we had a lot over 100 units in the layout........maybe closer to 200 i lost count. I'm looking forward to meet you all again. Together we can move a mountain or two ;o)
Thank You. BO |

Re: Cabin Fever 2017 Pics/Vid
I had a great time as well as many others. Thank you guys and gals for bringing out all of your trucks and equipment. This has become a very successful show. It is nice to put a face with a name from this forum as well. The crowd looked to be very entertained judging from their face expressions from my vantage point up on the dragline controls.
Here are some pictures I took. Arrival Thursday evening. Everywhere you looked there was earth moving going on. This had to be a new record for dump trucks and excavators. OOPS Knocking down the mountain for more real estate to work on. Backing onto the new rock crushing display. Thanks, Bo for the tools and plywood. Thank you Elliott for helping me get it put together. Waiting for a load. From the boat pond. Interesting looking rig Loading a Kenworth with the 9W Heavy Movers I want one please for a future project. Sunday morning 7am RV Jim had to leave before ice storms out west. |

Wow, that looks like such a great time! Wish we had something like that down in this part of the country. Does anyone know of anything in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, etc.?

9W Steve, any pics of video of your crusher in action? Was it any good for crushing dirt lumps or was the dirt was too wet?

Re: Cabin Fever 2017 Pics/Vid
To everyone that attended: Thank You! Had a great time meeting and visiting with all. My Payhauler carried its first loads - even if had to dump via the manual-tip method. Learned about a few improvements needed so it will perform better but still was an awesome time. The 10-hour drive to PA was worth it. Getting to see in-person all the great machines that have been posted on the forum was exceptional. Putting faces-to-names was a real treat.
Looking forward to next year and to the events in between! (Been sifting through my pictures and looking for ones that have not already been posted - may have some soon.) Ken

If you notice in some of the pictures the material was slightly smaller than 2B size and of course it had the fines mixed in. I plan on taking care of that next year when the shaker screens get built. Hopefully no one complains about the dust it's going to create |
