Re: Wedico has closed up the shop?
I can't believe it! I do love my 966 wheel loader. Glad I stocked up on some of the driveshafts in-case I need to replace one....
What about the people that put money for dozer pre-orders? |

Re: Wedico has closed up the shop?
Hi folks,
this was going on for some time now. Here´s what I heard to that story. Wedico pronounced bankruptcy a few months ago when the CEO died suprisingly. That´s a common use by german law if there is no other CEO. They tried to find replacement and raise new investement. Sadly without success. Thicon finally purchased what was left by the liguidator. It´s not all clear how it is continuing. I don´t think that the business will be the same. As it says: WEDICO Truck + Construction Models GmbH i.I. operations are over. I think a few people can´t wait to see what the future is up to. The exisiting parts might still be sold and hopefully some new products will appear. Thicon has some quite great ideas in their portfolio. The main problem might be the "soon to be" bulldozer as the customers had put down a deposit and as far as I know the license by CAT wasn´t part of the takeover. I´m pretty sure there will be an official announcement soon. bye Ulrich
