Joe-I agree with Bo-that is very nice dozer work. The herky-jerky stuff I see on here sometimes makes me crazy. You and dirtpusher (d-9 joe) as I call him are the best R/C dozer operators I have seen. Speaking of the D-9. Will it ever work again or is it worn out?

Well thanx Bo & Tom, much appreciated, I always try to put on a good show. Cooper puts on good show too with his D11.

The 1/10th scale D9 still has earth caked on it from the 2012 St Louis meet, D9 Joe kept the radio for it & I haven't turned it on since... it'll last longer this way.

I asked Frank his advice what he uses for rim slippage, this stuff is the same (so I'm told by my autobody guy) as the pic he showed me.

I thought I'd do my old B50 too, as I see rim slippage sometimes on the front axle when I try to back up a steep pile of lumps to start a new layer.

Of course I couldn't help but wear some of it too

I found a nail in one of the tires, how's that for scale detail?

Great idea Joe, will you be buying a caulking gun, to go with the rest of your cordless tools?
Cheers! Neil.

No Neil, as little caulking as I do, the manual version will work just fine.

Maybe when I retire in 6yrs Ed, this is an outdoor model... when it's nice outside in the summer I'm usually balls to the wall busy.

Yes Marc, the other Joe got a nice shine on it.

I let the joint sealer set for 36hrs, then tried to pull the grade loaded, the right two rears let go again ...initially I could see the front of the adt lifting a lil, so it's pulling hard on two axles.

So I took the axles from the cross dump, I already have the stub axles drilled & tapped for the hubs with roller clutches. Now the adt & pup runs up the grade like it were empty.

Thank you Ben... long overdue for you to do some updates on your own construction thread

Presently working at cleaning up the last of the 'piled dirt lumps from the tunnel' from around the furnace.

Tidied up the last of the lumps around the furnace

Piled it all in the opposite corner, easier to load out trucks to haul to the surface

Screened it all the last 5 days

Big pile of hard lumps & rocks to run through the crusher

Lots to haul out this summer

Thanx Tom

Maybe it's my life's training in farming Ed, slow & steady maximizes profits ...about a month away from 16hr days for weeks on end, stuck in a small tractor cab going round & round the same fields I've tended to the last 35yrs... that's getting harder to do each yr! ...this hobby is not a "have to" everyday, it's a "want to" whenever I feel like it.

Trip to the city today, new toy for the shop

A forklift would certainly be handy

What made you guess that?

10x22 King

What to do with this one? Unsuccessful finding a belt, pitch is approx 4.29mm or 0.1688... the 3 jaw is about the only salvage value.

Looks identical to my lathe. (Grizzly g(some number?) I have been happy with mine. Weather is starting to get better down here, at least more daylight. Been watching your progress and ideas with sorting material. Hopefully soon I'll be opening the screening site. Just have to build it .

On the old lathe, have you looked at something like a 'PowerTwist Plus' or 'Accu-Link' V belt?

My dad was able to get my grandpas old lathe running again with one of those after the local places couldn't come up with an off the rack belt.

I was fishing for guesses Neil, totally overlooked the lettering on the crate

I thought maybe you would have had the next size bigger on 220v Cooper? I might regret it someday on a big job having 30% less power... short term screening plant, the vibrating flat screen with 1/8 inch hole has been working great, but I hope to get ambitious someday & build a tracked mobile shaker with conveyers.

Thanx for the tips on where to look Frizzen, but I got rid of it a few weeks ago.

There was nothing visible for company or model # on the belt Neil, and the manual was quite vague too.

Corrected my track chain skipping on my Izzy dozer, a local machinist suggested increasing diameter of sprocket to change the pitch. Original sprocket diameter was about 1.985 inch, 1st try at 2.125" got me nearly half there, 2nd try oh so close at 2.23", it still skips occasionally with a blade full going uphill... close enough for now.

Been working on a 2nd cross dump the last month.

Put one way roller clutches on this trl to make sharp turns easier to navigate.

Put a 2x25 Sabertooth, AR8000 rx & a battery in 2nd trl, saves me about 20 feet of stringing wires to the tractor.

Monster piles of fines to haul out before winter... didn't measure the pile, but I'd guess there's about 10 cubes here to move.

On my 3rd load

Put it through trails for a week or two to see what needs to be modified/improved, then tear it down for paint. Takes a pretty wide corner; was thinking adding a 3rd trailer, but is probably too long for indoor travels.

Next build is a side dump trl for the 4206, hope to tip it with two or three Actuonix actuators, box dimensions will be the same as the belly dumps.
