Default O ring material?

Hey all. Greetings from h#ll 😅😩😅😆

I’m making my own hydraulics, and I settled (for now 😅😩&#128518 on using a neoprene rubber washer I cut to size, and I’m wondering if that will be ok and if it will seal?
🤷‍♂️

Whoa! Even if it isn’t totally even all around?
Like-it fits very snugly, but it’s still hand cut…‍♂️
And if that doesn’t work, is there a material you can pour, like liquid sealant, to make your own o rings? Would silicone work?

Thanks!
