steering mod using a mount from KK truck store in the UK, I did the mod this way because the euro trucks have the steering servo on the L/H side of the chassis and I wanted it next to the gear change servo to eliminate the steering slop, if Tamiya had given the steering a bit more thought they would have had given you a great model straight from the box.

wiring the MFC and mounting the battery in the cab, I put the battery in the cab using the speaker box that came with the MFC by cutting the sides off and placing it on the cabs platform at the front of the cab then mounted the MFC on top

One very nice build there!
Not sure if it is allowed to comment in this section. I see that no one has commented and I am a bit worried cause this is a great truck and it deserves more attention! - mods please obliterate my post and let me know if I can post elsewhere in the comments section.

I as well didn't see this when it was originally posted. Perhaps it was one of teh times when I was on a hiatus from teh computer, & when I FINALLY got back on it was deeply buried.

thanks frizzen and skeeter, it was a bit of a pain squeezing the electronics into the cab, but it works fine

I changed the drive spindle and ram in the lift actuator for one with a courser thread because the original on took 1 minute to raise the bed and another to lower it, it will now lift up in thirty seconds and the same for down which will have to do, the kit supplied drive shaft is on the left and the coarser replacement is on the right and lifts the dump body up twice as fast

after much thought I decide to remove the Tamiya MF03 and replace it with a Servonaut M24 ESC and SM3 sound card with SM-EQ bass\treble boost to tweak the sound to match the trucks cab where the speaker is mounted in the roof. I also replaced the Tamiya 4 ohm speaker with a Visaton 8 ohm FRS 7, also replaced all of the Tamiya LED's with servonaut light boards which give a much better light output, I did not photograph the rear light boards because the were a pain to fit and I forgot to

new ESC and sound module

new front light boards
