Maaaaaaaybe? I'm honestly still not sure on the color, but the paint scheme is pretty much set now. I've also started working on cleaning up the roof. What a dusty job!

I'm inclined to agree with Jerry, I love that brown & tan color scheme!
Looking good, as always, Frizzy!

Frizzy??

I have a bit more wet sanding to do, but I think the bulk of the body work is now done.

I also got me a driver. Some zombie movie guy, I'm told.

Wet sanding and body work is all done....finally. Just needs a quick cleaning and it's ready for primer. Now I've really gotta nail down the colors for this thing!!

Thank ya, sir. I'm quite pleased. I think I may have to take a drive to the hobby shop to see if any colors speak to me... It's been raining cats and dogs down here, so I guess there's no rush to get it painted.

Okay, gents, give me your suggestions! Below is the essentially paint *scheme* I'm going with, but the colors are TBD. There will be a bottom color (everything below the hood) and there will be an upper color (hood up to and including the roof). Not sure about painting the top of the roof separately like in the pic. I'm also needing to decide on wheel color, if any.

Tan top, brown bottom, white wheels?
White top, turquoise bottom, white wheels?
White top, grey/silver bottom, white wheels?
White top, grey/silver bottom, red wheels?
Cream top, tan bottom, white wheels?
Cream top, gold bottom, white wheels?

Let's hear some ideas. I need inspiration!!

That's definitely one of the color combos I'm considering....with white wheels......and maybe a white roof?

Thanks, y'all! Now I'm looking for some small die-cut graphics and then the body will be done and it'll be on to other things to finish....

Since space in this thing is rather limited and I plan on running a Beier sound unit, I ran out of space for the battery. I was hoping to avoid it, but I had to resort to building a "toolbox" to house the battery, a 3s 2700mah. It's made of styrene with a diamond plate veneer. I'll be adding magnets to secure the lid and painting it black after I do some final touches to it.

No brake lights or housings were included with the kit so old Axial parts to the rescue!

I just need to figure out how to cleanly route the wiring.

Got the shifter installed and figured I'd give the driver some comfort and convenience a 20th century truck driver has come to expect!

Ugh. So despite making the battery box as low and short as I could it's simply going to interfere with the nose of the trailer on anything, but the flattest of terrain. And since this thing is 4 wheel drive, I expect it to see its fair share of undulating terrain. So I have to figure out another plan. Here's what I'm dealing with....

Space under the hood is limited. Keep in mind there's a motor and trans in the middle.

This is the stuff that needs to find a home in the truck.

The speaker was intended to go here, under the bench seat.

Battery is just too thick to fit in there so a new battery would likely be needed if I put it here.

I'm still messing around with component placement and I'm sure I'll come up with something decent.....eventually! LOL
